CKC Class - "What Matters Most"

So here is the last post regarding CKC Buffalo. So we took another CK class "What Matters Most" and we did a 2 page layout and a 1 page layout. I really didn't like the way the one page layout was going so its not going to happen. But here is the 2 page layout and I think it came out really nicely. I did add more photos, the original only had 3 pics, I love layouts with lots of pics so I added a few more. I also added a journaling block and that was done with "Autumn Leaves" Stampology "For the Record 3" stamp. Also the green button is from a Fancy Pants button set I bought at convention called "Sweet & Pretty". So that's it for convention, hope you enjoyed it!

CKC Class - "Flocked & Fabulous" Second Layout

So here is the second layout for the "Flocked & Fabulous" class we took. Honestly the layout is too plain for me but it does look clean and crisp. I di dmake a change, I added Stamping Bella's dots beside the words while in the class you were suppose to flock some dimensionals to place beside the words but I thought the dots would look nicer and they do!

CKC Class - "Flocked & Fabulous"

One of our favourite classes was "Flocked & Fabulous" by Creating Keepsakes. The instructor for this class was amazing and hilarious and she was Canadian, eh!!!! This class gave you a whole "All In One Scrapbooking Kit", so much in it, we couldn't believe it. Because this class was so good we added another class on our last day that was also a Creating Keepsakes class that gave us a different "All In One Scrapbooking Kit".
So in this class we had sketched for 3 layouts but we only got to 2 in the class, like I said before these classes go by soooooo quick! So here is one of the layouts. When she started saying take out the orange CS and orange DP, I was just rolling my eyes, I hate orange. But luckily when I got home I found some pics that sort of went with the orange, yellow and blue. So the layout is just like the instructor instructed except I added the stamped journalling box (Autumn Leaves Stampology "Girl Talk") and I only placed 2 strips of words, while the sketch had about 6 but I couldn't find rubons that actually matched the pictures. So the main thing in this class is the flocking. The center of the flowers are flocked as well as the word smile. It was really easy and I think it came out great!

CKC Class - "Paradise Found"

We were really looking forward to our 5th class. We had gone to the Quick Quotes booth and seen this layout kit and it was just gorgeous but we knew we had a class by quick quotes and we were really hoping that this was the layout kit that would be given at the class and woohoo, it was! I just love how these layouts turned out. I modified them a bit when I got home and also added the pics at home. The classes go really quickly, an hour honestly feels like 15 minutes. So the first layout page I just added the journalling box, the rest was just as directed in class. The second page was my own creation (sort off)....LOL We did the wave in class but it was to have the drink and the other wave that is in layout page 4 but I felt 1 and 2 went really well together with the matching wave at the bottom so I placed them together and added the vellum title and die cuts. Layout page 3 was 100% directed from the class and layout page 4 was my own. I just love how these layouts look. Too bad I didn't have 4 more of the 12x12 sheets b/c I still have some more pics from this trip that I want to scrap.

Splitcoast Challenge SC231

I will still post more on the CKC classes but today I needed a card and I decided to base it on the Splitcoast Card Sketch Challenge SC231. Personally I think the card is too plain and simple but I really didn't have anything else I could add so it will have to do.
DP - SU "Fall Flowers"
CS - SU "Sage Shadow" & "Whisper White"
Ink - SU "Basic Black"
Stamp - Stamping Bella "Turtle"
Also used Nestabilities, Dazzling Diamonds and Copics
Thanks for looking!

CKC Class - "A Card Class You Will Dig"

So after the first class by Piggy Tales we really weren't looking forward to our fourth class "A Card Class You Will Dig" also by Piggy Tales but we were pleasantly surprised. We made 3 cards and a folder to hold the cards. I modified the folder a bit but still not happy with it, I also modified the flowers, I pierced them, I think it looks much better than the original. This was a good class but I don't think we'll take Piggy Tale classes again!

CKC Classes

So as promised I will post some pics of my classes from CKC Buffalo. So our first class was "You'll Love the reaction Using" by Piggy Tales and we made 2 cards, a mini booklet and a layout. Unfortunately there wasn't time for the layout but that was probably a good thing, the cards and booklet and the paper was just very ugly. We were very disappointed in this class and we were hoping the rest would not be the same. Our third class (I will get back to the second class another day since the layout was not completely finished), was "Joy of Card Making" by Paper Crafts and we made 4 cards. The first one was really ugly, I really can't post it but here are the other 3 which I really liked. Aren't they cute? This was a great class!

Back from CKC Buffalo

I am back from the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Buffalo and WOOHOO it was great!

My friend and I headed down to Buffalo bright and early Friday morning, we wanted to get to the convention before 9am which is when the vendor market opened for registered guests. We were there at 8:30am, parked, got our registration package and at 9am we started shopping damage.........LOL There were great deals on scrapbooking supplies, many vendors that were going out of business and were selling items for great prices. Our first class was booked for 11:10am so we shopped for 2 hours and then headed down to our class. I will post pics of what I completed in the classes, some classes were amazing, others not so much.....LOL Here are all the classes we took:
